Inauguration of Dr.V.K.Sukumaran Nayar Chair for Parliamentary Affairs

Dr.V.K.Sukumar Nayar Chair for Parliamentary Affairs was inaugurated by the Minister of Kerala for Parliamentary Affairs. M.Vijayakumar On 13 December 2006 at the Old Legislative Assembly Hall, Thiruvananthapuram. This is the fourth important centre attached to the Department of Political Science, University of Kerala. Dr.J.Prabhash is the Hon.Director of the Centre.

As a part of the golden jubilee celebration three important books were released during the occasion.
1. Future of Parliamentary Democracy in India, by Dr.G.Gopa Kumar(Ed.), Professor and Head of the Deparment of Political Science,
2.Palestinian Distress:The Ambiguity of the Former Soviet Policy, by Dr.K.M.Sajad Ibrahim, Lecturer in the Department of Political Science,
3.HigherBureacracy in Kerala, by Dr.S.R.Jitha, former student of the Department and Presently teaching in S.N.Collge, Kollam.
